Named after the bordering lake that the course overlooks, Lakeside Golf Club takes full advantage of the natural landscape of rolling hills and live oaks. Water comes into play on nearly every hole on the course. Streams and dry creek beds dot the course, creating challenges on several holes. The golf course also features undulating greens and narrow landing areas. Designed to provide a formidable test for any golfer, Lakeside Golf Club demands accuracy in addition to careful strategy. One of the most notable difficult holes on the golf course is the par-5 12th, which requires an approach shot over water to a well bunkered green.

Although previous reviews were not favorable this course is much improved. Previous droughts took its toll on fairways and greens but recent management programs have turned this course around.

I would rate this course to be comparable to other small town and community courses. I found my time to be relaxing and enjoyed my game.

Looking forward to witnessing this course flourish as the current managment and course maintenance seems to be doing a great job.

Give it a try. You cant beat the rates

I loved this course. I read other reviews of this course before I went to play it. I am glad I decided to go anyway. It is a nice layout and yes there were a couple of greens that maybe need a little more attention, overall it was in good shape. I think the other reviewers have to remember this is summer in Texas and public course. You can't expect Augusta type conditions and you shouldn't. I highly recommend this as go to course for a quick round of golf. If you are with an hour or so drive of this course you should play it.

I've played this course over the years and, although I saw a decline over the past 2 years, I now see some definite improvements in the making! The greens were recently aerated and sanded and are looking real good; small improvements are evident everywhere, including the club house. Although the upstairs does not appear used much, I found the food and service in the 19th hole to be quite good.

First and Last time!!!Not Good For anyone's blood pressure. As beautiful as it could be-the experience of getting on the green and having almost every ball roll off
Was terrible...greens are set to damage your confidence. My guests were angry!
    Punishes golfers period!

Snack bar slow during turns!! Don't bother.

    Not worth it.

Course has been in terrible shape for so long and has finally hit rock bottom. Zero grass on the greens with about half the tees even playable. To top it off the staff/management are unbelievably rude. Would rather skip a day of golf than play here, and I only live about 10 miles away

Tee box to green the worst course I've ever played. Fairways are overloaded with crabgrass 8" tall, rough was mostly St. Augustine grass, and the greens were so burned that some areas were black. Parking lot was empty on a Saturday morning... I should have known. Waste of a day and $30.

Horrible, horrible, horrible. Fairways were hideous and the greens weren't much better. Play was slow and no marshal was ever seen on the course. This place is not worth the time or money.
