Those Trees!
Pleasanton CC has a beautiful golf course that is perfect for big drivers. Warch out for those trees though...
Nice open course
Need better directional sign for holes other than that I give it a 5
Weird course
Pictures on here make this course a lot nicer than it really is. Oddly shaped course makes for a few dangerous holes with people hitting directly into you. Fairways aren’t much different than rough. Greens are terrible. But I will say, if this course was maintained better then it could be a challenging fun course because the greens have some of the biggest slopes I’ve ever seen.
Basic Track & Needs Improved Grounds
Clubhouse staff friendly, pace of play was excellent. Many fairways need grass, as well as some greens. The course layout is straightforward, but many mature trees to navigate around/over.
Value for money is good, keep that in mind when you’re hitting the ball off thin grass in the fairway or putting/chipping through sandy patches on/near greens.
I likely will return, but not on a regular basis.
Ask if they’re doing maintenance that day.
The course manager hired two new hands and whenever random day, according to them, they decide to do course management. Literally 12 of 18 fairways had tractor mowers on them. Golf carts hauling equipment and employees zipping around. After getting fussed at about our tee time when there was one other group there the whole day, the head maintenance caretaker rushed us to the back nine. Not only did we get to play several tee boxes with sprinklers still on, we played almost every green wet. Pleasanton’s country club waters straight through till about 8:30-9 so those tee times are bogus. The water even when it rains so if it rains the day before count this course out. I’ve literally paid for tee times and bailed because the mud show is ridiculous. One hole the head guy drove across the fairway three times right in front of us right before we swung. The third time I just hit it. I play this course almost once a week. I was super upset that the crew could absolutely care less. Pleasanton country club, if you’re going to maintain, choose a day and close the course like every other course in Texas or maintain out of the way.
Challenging Course
Lots of large oaks trees that provide a significant challenge to your game should you hit an errant shop. Greens are quite challenging as well with significant multiple slopes on most greens. My son and I really like this golf course.
Challenging with lots of large trees
Very friendly staff with wonderful off course amenities. Great food in the restaurant and a full bar with plenty to choose from. A great golfing experience. Well watered course.
Fairways & greens too wet/ leaky sprinklers??
7am tee time and balls completely sunk at least 2” below grass on roughly 4 different fairways. Some greens in morning were slow n sloppy due to water but if hit to the other half of same green ball ran fine very inconsistent. After 10:30 greens were finally dry enough in my opinion.
A Pleasant day of golf
We were pleasantly surprised to see the course was in such great shape, especially because it’s been so dry in the area. The whole course was beautiful, the greens were nice, as were the fairways and just the whole course in general. Thank goodness we had an early tee time, as it did get hot as the day progressed. Although the trees provide a bit of a challenge, the shade they provide is very welcoming.
Entire course is green
For this time of year most courses have browned out. Not this one. They water the entire course. Very friendly service with a great off course amenities. We stayed for an additional 18 holes. Very much enjoyed our first visit.
Awsome place
Beautiful course. Very green. Greens are not in great shape. But overall an excellent course!!
