The scenic Hill Country terrain provides the layout with an abundance of trees, clear blue lakes, and tall, lush grasses. Fairways are nonexistent, and worse than a cow pasture, greens are small, weekend rate $42 is not worth a fraction of that, I feel bad for ppl who live in San Marcos (not sure how many golf courses there are in San Marcos ) I'm sure there are better courses to play than this over priced turd. I will never purchase a golf round thur groupon again and I will never return to this 18 hole disaster. I feel ripped off, guess its my fault for buying a green fee at a place I've never played before. Avoid at all costs.

The descriptions you may read on this course at this or any other site are complete fabrications. In my 55 years of playing golf, all over the world, this is the worst course I have ever played. It is in horrible condition.

Nothing but weeds and hard clay on fairways. Greens are so hard a nice high shot into the green bounces 10 feet in the air and over the back of the green.

Ponds are filthy and the sand traps are a mess.

This course is so bad, I felt like I'd been robbed at the cash register.
