Only 10 minutes from San Antonio's famous Riverwalk, Republic Golf Club is situated along the picturesque banks of Salado Creek. The landscape is blanketed with hundreds of mature oaks, elms, and mesquite trees. The terrain is mostly flat but there is some undulation in the greens. The golf course has some player-friendly features such as wide fairways with generous landing areas and open approaches, but it is no easy ride since the fairways are lined with tall trees and the greens play fast and they are also well guarded by bunkers. Republic Golf Club has four sets of tees that allow players to adjust the game to their skill level.

No. 15 is a long but reachable par 5 if your drive takes an aggressive line off the tee at The Republic. The Republic Golf Club's par-5 second hole is a sharp dogleg right to a well-protected, large green.The par-5 sixth hole at The Republic is a double-dogleg with a lot of trouble. Depending on your position, your second or third shot may have to carry trees on the sixth hole at The Republic. The par-3 eighth hole requires a tee shot to an elevated green protected by water left and short at The Republic. No. 9 is a straightaway par 4 at the Republic. The Republic Golf Club's par-5 11th is protected by many bunkers near the green. The par-4 12th hole at The Republic features a green guarded by bunkers in front. The short, par-3 13th hole features a very shallow green at The Republic Golf Club. The Republic Golf Club's 14th hole is one of the trickier driving holes, with water both short and long off the tee, followed by an uphill approach.

    Fairways better than most courses greens and greens like you have only dreamed of. A great course to play. I can't wait to go back.
