Riverside Municipal G.C., which dates back to the 1930s, was designed to offer spectacular views of the San Antonio skyline. As its name implies, the San Antonio River runs alongside many of the holes at Riverside. Nearly all of the lies are uneven but the golf course is still easy to walk. The layout's front nine is covered with towering pecan trees that require straight, accurate drives but the back nine has more opportunities to grip it and rip it. Water naturally comes into play throughout Riverside Municipal Golf Course, most prominently on the back nine.
