Nine Hole at Riverside Municipal Golf Course
About
Located just south of downtown, Riverside Municipal Golf Course is a public facility that offers both an 18-hole regulation course and a nine-hole, par-3 course. Riverside dates back to the 1930s and its historical origins go back even further when it served as the site of Roosevelt's Rough Riders' preparation before the Spanish American War. The nine-hole course is a straightforward layout with no water and very little bunkering. The longest hole is only 130 yards, making the course ideal for beginners and juniors. The golf course is an enjoyable walk, seeing as walking is mandatory. The course is not challenging for more advanced players but it does provide a good warm-up before Riverside Municipal Golf Course's 18-hole course.

Good course for the price
Self explanatory. Great time for a good price. Would do it again.
Cloudy Friday - Great Golf Weather
Excellent play, although the group behind us lacked some major golf etiquette, as soon as I was walking to the green from my second shot they were already hitting into us. Not cool! Learn the game!
Overall experience with the course was super! For the money its hard to beat! I would play here again!
Great Time at Great Course
My wife and I had not played this course in over 20 years and going back and playing was the right choice for us. We had a great experience and would recommend playing this course to all.
Aeration in progress
I have played Riverside many times and keep going back because it's cheap and there's never too many people playing. They were working on all the greens, so a decent putt was impossible yesterday.
Riverside golf course
Course has decent greens n good fairways...pace of play was a lil slow but picked up as we went along. ..
for the $$$ it was good
It was a public course so was not super but enjoyed for the $$$$
A great day and round of golf with my son.
The weather temperature was comfortable. The time scheduled for tee off was perfect to start the day and finish 18 holes before the crowds came in. Nice time golfing with my son. Thank you.
Riverside
Great course for beginners and intermediate golfers, course was pretty and in good shape
This course is awesome
Grew up playing this course and it's always in great shape. ..Luv It
Southside Golf
Course was in good condition(7/10). Fairways were just cut so that was nice. If you miss hit a Tee shot it's pretty easy to find unless you hit it over the fence on the holes running along Mission. It was great round of golf my only complaint was the greens. Playing after a recent aeration made it difficult for putting since there was so much sand but other than that Riverside is one of my favorite courses in San Antonio. I always love playing here and the staff is always helpful and friendly. I recommend this course to my friends and if I can get a round in here it's always fun.
Could be a real nice course with some work
Can't complain too much about this course bit it does need some attention. For the money, it was definitely worth it. I was not too pleased to find out once I got there, that they had no driving range. That and the aerated green were the downfalls. The layout and friendliness of the staff made up for the course conditions for the most part. The range finders on the carts needed to be repaired, the tee boxes need cleaning and leveling, and the snack bar needed snacks. I would still play this one again but it would not be my first choice.
decent cours to play
Good for beginers n well maintained green I would recomand
Course is very playable.
Well maintained and friendly staff. Teed off at 12.45 on a Sat at a Muni course and was on time and played in 3:45. Great place to play to tune your game and have fun.
Excellent muni for the money
This is an interesting and very playable golf course. It is pretty flat like most Texas golf courses but the layout is varied and enjoyable. The conditions are good, perhaps better than good considering the drought this year. The greens were true and a good speed while the fairways had enough grass to hit a wood.
Well maintained course.
Have played this course a few times & have not been disappointed. The course is in very good condition throughout the 18 holes. And the pace of play is just right. Would definately recommend.
Overall fairways in good shape. No drink cart on weekends???Greens need some work. Very bumpy.
Good value for course. This is all I have to say about this.
Nice course for being close to downtown, but only average.
The course was average on a good day,,, pretty good shape,,, unless you were a local from inter-city San Antonio, then they treat you like a number,,,,, Not the place to play if you are visiting,,,,,
Greens & fairways in good shape.
The greens & fairways were in the best shape I've ever seen them. A couple greens were still in need of work. The restrooms on the course were absolutely disgusting, and driving from hole to hole is like driving a car down a hill of moguls. The cart paths really need attention. The water jugs appear to be left overs from the 1970's. A little money could possibly lift this course to the next level. Good luck.
